I am a Black image maker. That's both who I am and what I do. 

I believe seeing true representations of yourself in the spaces you love is affirming. 

I have loved being outdoors since I was a young girl. Swinging in my grandparents backyard was one of my favorite places to be. 

Nature is still a space I love, so you will see Black representation in the outdoors, showing up as the central theme in my photography. Sis Shot This! is the online home of my photography projects.  

What started as a personal photo project has evolved into Black Life Outdoors, a coffee table style photo book that celebrates a diversity of Black people who are recreating outdoors, but largely left out of the media images we see. 

If you’ve gone hiking, biking, birding, kayaking or camping, and longed to see someone who looked like you out there, this book is for you.
